The community’s amenities, roads and facilities are maintained by groups of volunteers who convene regularly. We tend the trails, change the lightbulbs, trim vegetation, stock the lakes with fish, monitor the lakes and dams, add native plants to the common areas, paint signs, make minor repairs and chop firewood.
The other work of the forest—legal, financial and administrative—is carried out by advisory committees of residents who contribute their time and talents in these areas. More than 20 committees work with an elected Board of Directors to manage the community. With so many opportunities to work together, neighbors quickly become friends!
