Volunteer Painting SignVolunteers installing new mailboxesThe community’s amenities, roads and facilities are maintained by groups of volunteers who convene regularly to tend the trails, trim vegetation, stock the lakes with fish, add native plants to the common areas, paint signs, make minor repairs and chop firewood. The other work of the forest—legal, financial and administrative—is carried out by committees of residents who contribute their time and talents in these areas. More than 20 committees work with an elected Board of Directors to manage the community. With so many opportunities to work together, neighbors quickly become friends!
